Game Format[]
Like the American version (until 1994-95), two families of five competed. The third question scores double points and the fourth question scores triple points, including a "stealing" answer. The highest-scoring family played for DM10,000 (until 2002) later it changed to €5,000 (until 2003). Any family who won five games played for a grand total of DM100,000 (until 2002) later it changed to €50,000 (until 2003). On the 2016 revival, the winning family plays for €3,000 and winners of five victories play for total winnings of €30,000.
