This is chronicling the British version of Match Game known as Blankety Blank, in 1999 it was later known as Lily Savage's Blankety Blank.

Game Format[]

Similar to the 1973-1982 American edition. The winner played Super Match in which the top answer scored 150 "blanks", the #2 answer scored 100, and the #3 answer scored 50. After a second game with two new players, the player who scored more "blanks" could double their score in the head-to-head final. In case of a tie, both players wrote their answers and the first player whose answer had been said by any panelist would be the winner. Both Super Match players won one of six prizes based on their score (50, 100, 150, 200, or the star prize for 300 blanks). On the late 1990s series and 2016 special, a head-to-head match won an additional prize. The star prize was usually a holiday.

On the 2021 revival, the Super Match prizes are £500, £750, and a £750+ prize. Both winners compete in sudden death and the winner plays for a bonus prize in the head-to-head final.
