Sto k odnomu (One Hundred to One) is the Russian version of Family Feud.

Game Format[]

One difference from many other versions is that families are known as "teams", due to them being composed of people related to an occupation, a music band, a show, etc. Actual families hardly ever participate in the show.

Since January 8, 1995, until March 29, 1997, each game had four rounds: Single Game (Простоя игра), Double Game (Двойная игра), Triple Game (Тройная игра), and Big Game (Большая игра). On April 5, 1997, Reverse Game (Игра наоборот) was introduced between the Triple and Big Games — a format still in use today.

All questions have 6 top answers — no more, no less. The second question scores double value, and the third question scores triple value. On the fourth question (The Reverse Game), teams have 20 seconds to discuss and, when time runs out, agree on an answer. The values are 15 points for the number one answer, followed by 30, 60, 120, 180, and 240. The higher-scoring team plays the Big Game for the jackpot.

The Big Game is played like Fast Money in other versions, with a score of 200 needed to win the cash. The time limit is 15 seconds for the first player, and 20 seconds for the second player.

The jackpot was initially 5 million rubles, which was doubled to 10 million in June 1995. After the 1998 ruble denomination, the jackpot became 5,000 rubles. In the fall of 1998, the top prize doubled. The jackpot increased again to 25,000 rubles on April 1, 2000 and doubled again to 50,000 on September 28, 2014 (except for a special episode on June 25, 2017, when the jackpot was tripled to 150,000).

Trivia[]

  • The highest score in four rounds was achieved by team "B Major"[1] on December 23, 2018 — 730 points. On top of that, the team won the jackpot, scoring 216 in the Big Game.
  1. "Си мажор" in Russian.
  • The highest score in the Big Game was 255 points (April 29, 2000), while the lowest score was 11 (March 3, 2001, with all 10 answers).
  • When players, whose native language is not Russian, make their way to the Big Game, the host may double the time to answer the five questions (30 + 40 seconds), and read the questions slower than usual. This happened in five episodes.
  • The Big Game had a special rule between 2015 and 2019: the first player automatically earned bonus points depending on for how long Sto k odnomu was on air: 20 years = 20 points in 2015, 21 points in 2016, and so on.
  • A similar case happened on June 14, 2020. The first contestant, who was not a native Russian speaker, had 20 seconds to play (instead of 15), while the second contestant, a native Russian speaker, went for the standard 20 seconds.
