This is chronicling the 1996 unsold pilot of Card Sharks.

Game format[]

Two players compete. A deck of 52 playing cards is cut, the card off the top of the deck is revealed and placed on the bottom of a 10 space pyramid. The players are then asked what amount of a specific ten-person group would answer a polling question about them. One guesses, the other guesses whether the actual number is higher or lower than their opponents guess. Whoever is correct then has to guess whether the next card in the deck is higher or lower than the preceding one. Should they make a mistake, another polling question is asked. The first player to make it to the top of the board wins the game and $250. Should they guess every card correctly without a mistake, they win the game and $500.

Bonus Round[]

The player is shown five cards, four numbered cards off the top of the deck and an Ace of Spades. After removing a card, they are then asked a question of three celebrities, namely a situation. They must predict who said what. Each incorrect guess removes another card. If any cards remain, the player wins $100 times the total of said cards, anywhere from $800 to $4,000. However, if the Ace remains after all the questions are asked, the player wins $5,000.

Their opponent is then brought back for another game; both players play two games regardless of outcome.
