This is chronicling the 2015 version of Celebrity Family Feud.

Game formatEdit

In this version, the show follows the same format as the current syndicated version as two games are played per-episode and Fast Money is played at the end of both games. Also, the grand prize is $25,000 to the winning celebrity team who gets 200 points or more in the Fast Money round. However, if they fail to reach 200 points, then $10,000 was still awarded to the group's favorite charity. In addition, if one of the celebrity teams lost in the main game, then $5,000 will be given to the charity of their choice.

This version alone would be the first time since 1985 that the series has returned on ABC when the original Dawson version in daytime ended its nine-year run on the same network 30 years ago (31 for the "All-Stars" edition in Primetime respectively).

Promos for this version were shown during the game show 500 Questions on the same network. In addition, this version will premiere on the same day (June 21, 2015) as the revival of BattleBots in season 1 as part of "Sunday Funday". In season 2, on June 26, 2016; it will premiere on the same day before the revivals of The $100,000 Pyramid hosted by Michael Strahan and Match Game hosted by Alec Baldwin as part of a Sunday night Summer block called "Sunday Fun & Games".

Contestant and New England Patriot, Rob Gronkowski has also appeared and competed in the one-hour reality competition special on FOX called Beat the Champions based on a Japanese format from TV Asaha Japan and was hosted by Finesse Mitchell aired on June 30, 2015.

Comedian Bill Engvall appeared again as a contestant in the first season of the 2015 reboot, his first was in the 2008 version on NBC.

Unlike the current regular civilian version of the show in syndication, the celebrities don't stay for five games to win a brand new car.

Harvey's first (and last) ABC show was the short-lived sitcom called Me and the Boys which ran from 1994 until 1995.

Former Celebrity Feud contestant Anthony Anderson along with his mother Doris Hancox from the first season, will be the host (and scorekeeper respectively) of the revival of To Tell the Truth on the same network in 2016.
